It is our dance. Our beloved dance. It has changed our lives. It has liberated us. It has freed our body. It has awakened our sensuality. It has ignited our energy. It has cleared our mind. It is the ancient cultural dance of the East. Al Raqs Al Sharqi. Danse Orientale. 

 

We love what it has done for us, and we feel called to share it with others, to pass on its precious medicine, to keep The Flame alive.

 

This space is dedicated to The Keepers of the Flame ~ the women of the world who are part of the global movement we are experiencing; the collective migration out of the head, into the body, heart and spirit. The collective return to the Feminine. 

 

This is for the women whose part in this movement is to gift our dance to other women and girls in their communities world wide. Women and girls of all colours, all ages, all shapes, all sizes. This space is to empower you, if you are called to this service.

I believe Belly Dance teachers are very special creatures. They hear 'The Call to Teach', and cannot ignore it. The Call to Teach Belly Dance does not knock on the door to every dancer's heart. Only a few. A few special souls, who know in their bones they need to pass on something precious. If you are one, this Method is dedicated to empowering and inspiring you, so that you can live out your calling, express your soul and empower the women and girls in your community whom you are called to serve. You can do this!

Gifting women with this feminine healing dance is life changing.  Teaching this complex, ancient dance form is also at once a huge responsibility and honour, as well as a deeply enriching gift to both teacher and students alike.

 

However the journey of being a teacher, facilitator and space-holder can get confusing, lonely and deeply challenging. Every single aspect of teaching challenges young and experienced teachers alike, aspects such as:
